For every little child in orphanages, home and family are the most significant sources of emotion, identity, and psychological stability. Yet, many orphans reside in facilities lacking adequate care and attention—overcrowded rooms, unhealthy food, and ragged clothing are stark realities for these children. Not every volunteer team is prepared to effect significant change; it requires time, resources, and permissions. This is where Maati-16 emerges as a pivotal solution for these children.

How does Maati-16 Solve the Issues? 

Maati-16 is a youth community dedicated to improving the lives of those systematically disadvantaged. By leveraging their resources and raising funds, Maati-16 has transformed the lives of several children, ensuring they feel valued despite their vulnerabilities. Crucially, these changes were implemented with minimal support from official orphanage authorities.

What Do Orphanages Provide?

Housing: Orphanages offer a home for children, giving them a place to sleep and feel secure.

Education: Many orphanages have schools or provide access to education, helping children learn and prepare for the future.

Care: Staff members in orphanages take care of the children’s daily needs, including food, clothing, and healthcare.

Emotional Support: Orphanages often have counselors or caregivers who provide emotional support, helping children cope with their loss.

Why Are Orphanages Important?

Orphanages play a crucial role in helping vulnerable children. They ensure that these children do not face life alone and have the opportunity for a better future. In addition to basic needs, orphanages can teach children important life skills.

Challenges Faced by Orphanages

Despite their importance, orphanages face challenges such as funding shortages, overcrowding, and the need for more trained staff. Many orphanages rely on donations and community support to continue their work.

Maati -16 is committed to narrowing  this educational divide because of the importance of a sound education. We have established a Project Education Mission that serves orphans and
underprivileged children with essential resources and aid.

Founded with a vision to break the cycle of poverty and inequality, Maati 16 stands as a witness to the transformative power of education. Through tireless efforts and steady commitment, our NGO has been instrumental in providing educational opportunities to the underprivileged, thereby opening doors to brighter futures.

At the heart of Maati 16’s mission lies the belief that education is not merely a privilege but a fundamental right that every individual deserves.

One of our important things was to visit Safeena Baal Grih, an orphanage where a wide variety of educative and personal care articles were given . Our team provided the children with books for classes 1st to 7th, notebooks, toothpaste, shampoo, soaps, indoor games, clothes, ration kits, and copies of “Our Times.” These resources are crucial for their daily needs and academic progress. The children at Safeena Baal Grih are incredibly talented. During our visit, we engaged them in educational  activities and games, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment. These interactions encourage the children to pursue their dreams with confidence. Our efforts do not remain with the orphanage itself. We also gave study material and learning kits to 150 children within slum areas through our NGO for them not to miss their academics. It included kits of pencils,erasers, sharpeners, rulers notebooks etc and drawing books color pencils maths &
language textbooks.

Yet, none of this would be possible without the dedication of volunteers, donors, and supporters who share a common commitment to making a difference. Their collective efforts exemplify the power of collaboration and serve as a testament to what can be achieved when compassion meets action.

Together, we can continue to rewrite destinies and build a world where opportunities abound for all. Join us on this journey of empowerment through education, and together, let’s create a legacy of hope and possibility.

Corona impacted everyone’s lives, the poor has been faced with multiple problems.Many poor families rely on work that is daily wage,In corona times due to lockdown and restrictions it was severely disrupted. Moreover this led to difficulty in affording basic necessities of life such as food and healthcare.

The COVID 19 pandemic made life harder for poor people. Many NGos have played a crucial role during that tough time in providing immediate healthcare support , basic food to the communities impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic.

Our NGO (Maati 16) has been actively involved in supporting such communities during that tough phase of life. Our NGO stepped up to provide 250 rashan kits to families in need across Patna. These kits were designed to provide enough food to meet a family’s nutritional needs for a certain period of time.
